HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS & CAMPS
Our special Holiday Art Camps provide students with enriching activities during the school holidays. We see the importance of enjoying the process of learning and our lessons are designed to be both easy to understand and light-hearted. We focus on teaching art to students through subjects that are both relevant and interesting to them.
Sculpting Lessons
Sculpting is the art of creating 3D objects from 2D concepts and designs.
Students learn to visualise and translate 2D drawings into 3D sculptures, and recognise different shapes and forms. This course promotes the development of hand-eye coordination skills, fine motor skills and spatial thinking. It also builds self-esteem and develops creativity.
Students are able to create a fully realized 3-D product which they can bring home to enjoy and share!
Tablet Mobile Sketch Lessons
Digital and mobile platforms have revolutionized the way we express ourselves. In this course, students learn how to express themselves using digital drawing programs accessible through platforms like tablet computers or smartphones.
Students will learn the thinking processes and techniques required to create works of high artistic value. They will familiarize themselves with using a stylus or their fingers to operate digital tablet devices.
These skills can be applied to almost all professional and/or amateur digital art programs available on the market, such as Flash and Photoshop.
Coffee Painting
Did you know you can use your favourite coffee to create beautiful art work? The technique of coffee painting is similar to painting with water colours. You will learn how to vary the tone and intensity of the art work depending on the type of coffee used and learn skills in effective brushwork. Through our programme, you will experience different mediums and materials to obtain a range of effects and experiment with different styles of painting.
