iPad Digital Art Lessons!
These iPad Digital Art Lessons are designed to be a time and space for children to learn and experience digital-art-making on the iPad. Children will first be taught the basics of how to use the program then move on to drawing techniques and knowledge.
The lessons learned in this class will be suitable for admission into school application portfolios.
Progress for each will be at their speed-of-learning. We believe that it is important for the student to grasp and demonstrate subject competence before moving onto more advanced topics.
Our trainers are Professional Digital Artists with National Arts Council endorsement.
So what do you teach in class?
Here are a few points that illustrates some of the topics that we will cover over the course of our classes. As mentioned above, we move at the speed-of-learning, so how much we cover depends on how fast the student grasps the lessons being taught.
- Basic software functionality
- Basics of drawing the face
- Basics of constructing poses
- Basics of anatomy
- Basics of lighting/rendering
- Basics of composition
- Basics of design
- Basics of Perspective
As you might have noticed, there are a lot of basics. This also means that there is an advanced version of all of the above.
What will I need for this class?
You will need to bring and iPad and Apple Pencil. Having the Apple pencil is ideal because it can actually digitally-interpret how hard you are pressing when drawing.
You will also need to install a digital drawing program of your choice. Below are several recommended apps.
- Procreate (Paid)
- Autodesk Sketchbook (Free / Paid)
- Medibang (Free)
- IbisPaint (Free)
Enrolment of classes is broken down into the number of sessions you want to sign up for. Naturally the more you sign on with us, the more will be covered.
The student will be able to cover basic software functions by the end of the introductory package. Subsequent lessons after the introductory package will cover more advanced drawing/painting topics and software functions.
Introductory Package – 4 Sessions [Fee: $248]
Intermediate Package/Add-on – 12 Sessions [Fee: $598]
Advanced Package/Add-on – 24 Sessions [Fee: $998]
Help! My child needs help with their school application!
Feel free to ask us for assistance if your child requires assistance on crafting their portfolio (for DSA/Art University/Other Art Schools).
If that is a requirement, we can gear our classes to help them produce art pieces that can be slotted into their portfolio.
But please let us know well ahead of time before so our trainers can plan for it.
